Christ the King's growing Men's Ministry...

...focuses on fellowship, spiritual growth, and servant projects, striving to strengthen faith and build community among guys age 18 and older through community building events, Bible studies, and outreach. 

• Bible Study & Fellowship: Various groups of guys gather for regular, casual meetings for Bible study and fellowship.
• Service Projects: CTK offers regular practical, hands-on opportunities for guys to serve the church, the surrounding community, and Northwest and global needs
• Men's Spring Service Weekend at Shoshone Mountain Retreat, May 15–17, 2026: Help camp recover from this winter's flood and wind storm damage, clearing fallen trees and debris, chopping wood, and tackling hands-on projects to help camp stand strong for the season ahead. 
• Community Building: annual events for men to gather, laugh, learn, and live faith-life together!

Men's Spring Service Weekend

May 15–17, 2026

Join a bunch of guys from CTK and help Shoshone Mountain Retreat recovers from windstorm damage from earlier this winter. Put your faith into action—clearing fallen trees and debris, chopping wood, and tackling hands-on projects that help camp stand strong for the season ahead.

Spend a weekend in fellowship, service, and time outdoors. And bacon. There'll be bacon.

Speaker: Rev. Mike Von Behren

Mike serves as District President of the Northwest District of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. He previously served as pastor of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Spokane and has long supported Lutherhaven Ministries. After beginning his career as a chemist, Mike earned a Master of Divinity and a Ph.D. in Leadership Studies, with a focus on servant leadership and cross-cultural ministry. He is passionate about sharing God’s Word, developing new ministries, and helping people grow in faith, leadership, and service, and he enjoys camping, sports, movie nights, and time with his wife Jennifer and their two adult daughters.
