Alaska Mission for Christ

Christ the King has long partnered with Alaska Mission for Christ, a Lutheran non-profit organization dedicated to bringing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to Alaska through  youth programs, homeless care, crisis pregnancy support, building projects, and community outreach services.

Each summer (and even some winters—as many as eight months out of the year!) Christ the King sends hard-working, skilled construction teams to Alaska to help remote communities and Lutheran missions with much needed building and remodeling needs.

In 2026 work will continue on the parsonage kitchen at Funny River Lutheran Church, as well in villages north and south of Nome along the coast line of the Bering Sea, where projects will include handicapped ramps, steps, porches, foundation and wall stabilization, and the myriad of tasks always needed in native villages.

Find out how you can volunteer with our Alaska Mission for Christ Team, and pray for this ministry bringing the love of Jesus to some of the most isolated communities on earth!
