Everyone deserves access to nutritious food.
Christ the King’s Love Pantry provides weekly essential food assistance to low income families and to neighbors facing challenging times or recent unemployment, serving our community with care and compassion.
In a typical week nearly 50 people visit the Love Pantry and walk away with essential food items: dairy products like milk and eggs; fresh vegetables from Kings Garden and other sources; proteins like hamburger, pork, shrimp, and canned salmon; pantry staples including canned goods, pasta, rice, beans, and lentils.
What’s more, as groceries are being boxed up and handed out, 65 or more home-cooked lunches are prepared and served, available for take-out or dine-in.
Last year the Love Panty—
- Served close to 1,000 households
- Welcomed more than 2,600 walk-in visits for food and produce
- Packed more than 50,000 pounds—25 tons—of food into boxes
- Served over 2,258 nutritious, home-cooked meals
- Handed out over 200 turkeys at Thanksgiving
- Gave away 240 30-pound boxes of fresh, juicy peaches
Since its start, CTK’s Love Pantry has benefitted 5,860 households—our neighbors—in the community. Christ the King’s Love Pantry not only alleviates food insecurity, but also creates a supportive environment for community members during times of unforeseen loss and everyday need.
