Pastor of Care Ministries
1. Tell us a little about you and your family:
My wife Candy and I just celebrated 50 years of marriage, and we have lived and raised our two children here in Coeur d’Alene this entire time.
As Pastor of Spiritual Care Ministries here at CTK, it's my privilege to share the hope and promises of God’s Word, prayer and Holy Communion with people in the hospital, in care facilities, and home-bound folks. I also provide pastoral care for our dynamic Life Recovery Ministry. It's a privilege to preach and teach the powerful Word of God at CTK and in our sister churches and care facilities of our region.
2. What is the Bible verse you live by, and why?
My life verse is the Call to Discipleship and Service from our Lord Jesus—"If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it.” Luke 9:23–24
3. What are your favorite things/hobbies/ activities you do in your free time?
My favorite pastime is fly fishing in Idaho and Montana.
4. Tell us a little about your past roles, education, accomplishments, or anything else you'd like us to know:
Pastoral ministry is my second career, as I retired after 40 years founding and owning a civil engineering company here in Coeur d’Alene. As I lived and grew in faith as a Christian father, husband, and businessman, the Lord placed Godly mentors in my life who encouraged me to study for the office of ministry and to “Finish Well” using the gifts that God has given me—and the Holy Spirit is still working on me every day.
