1. Tell us a little about you and your family:
I married my childhood friend and college sweetheart, Miriam, in 1999, and together we raised five children. In recent years, we’ve joyfully welcomed a daughter and son-in-law and look forward to watching our family continue to grow. Miriam and I have served in suburban, urban, and international ministry settings for more than twenty years, always side by side.
2. What is the Bible verse you live by, and why?
Micah 6:8 has long been a guiding verse for Pastor Dan, capturing the simple yet powerful vision of a life that walks humbly with God, rejoices in His grace, and seeks His good purposes for both our lives and the world. "He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God."
3. What are your favorite things/hobbies/ activities you do in your free time?
When we’re not serving, we enjoy cooking and playing games as a family, walking and hiking the beautiful outdoors of North Idaho, and—just as happily—sitting at home watching our chickens peck around the yard.
4. Tell us a little about your past roles, education, accomplishments, or anything else you'd like us to know:
I've served as Senior Pastor in two congregations and joined the CTK family in 2023. Along the way, my ministry has included international service teams, law enforcement chaplaincy, leadership and discipleship development, personal coaching, and Comfort Dog ministry.
5. What is your favorite thing about Christ the King Lutheran Church?
We love the way CTK lives out the Christian calling to serve one another and the wider community with humility and grace.
