1. Tell us a little about you and your family:

I love to tell stories! I have a heart for God's kids and a heart for praising the Lord through music. I have a wonderful beautiful wife Lauren and three amazing kids, Liliana Beautiful, Jace Warrior, and Gemma Lovely. Together we enjoy getting outside in God's beautiful creation and spending time together outside. In our backyard we have a beautiful garden of dahlias, rows of raspberries, and a couple ducks wandering around, too!

2. What is the Bible verse you live by, and why?

Luke 2:10-12: But the angel said to them, “Fear not for I bring you good news of great joy for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior who is Christ the Lord and this shall be a sign to you. You shall find the baby wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger.

This is the Gospel in a nutshell for me. There is no greater verse of hope or joy than the angel announcing to poor shepherds that a savior is born to them. To the least of these, to the meek and lowly. God has left the throne of heaven to dwell among us. It's the greatest story ever told!

3. What are your favorite things/hobbies/ activities you do in your free time?

I enjoy hunting and fishing and hiking to beautiful lakes and mountains with my family. I go on runs three times a week and in the winter you can find me skiing on the slopes with my kids and enjoying a good book by a warm fire. I play the guitar and the cello and enjoy playing for the local orchestra and writing fun Bible songs for kids!

4. Tell us a little about your past roles, education, accomplishments, or anything else you'd like us to know:

I graduated from Pacific Lutheran University and worked at Camp Lutherhaven for a number of years, running Outdoor Education and Ranch Camp. I've worked as a full time music director, as  a video editor, and as a wedding videographer.

5. What is your favorite thing about Christ the King Lutheran Church?

I love the people and the energy that Christ the King has! The location of CTK makes it primed to do God's work in the heart of the city, and the people in the congregation are not afraid to get their hands dirty for Jesus and spread God's love into the community around them.
